One of the deepest longings of the human heart is for intimacy. We hunger for relationship with someone who knows us well and with whom we can be open and free. As we finish up our series on the Psalms this week we will see the psalmists boldly express their unabashed love and intimacy with God, and learn how we may enter into such closeness with Him ourselves. May God awaken our thirst for Him!
You are invited on a journey this week. A journey with the psalmist singing the Psalms of Ascent on his way to Jerusalem. You and I are pilgrims on a similar journey – let us sing the songs of hope as we journey together towards God!
Get the crowns and robes ready, we’re going royal! This week we will look at the royal/Messianic psalms and see how the psalmist points us over and over again to the kingship of Jesus. May Jesus be the King of our hearts this week.
Join us this week on Mother’s Day for an appropriate topic – the Psalms of thanksgiving! On a day where we should be thanking the mothers and nurturers in our lives, we also want to thank God for all His many blessings, both physical and spiritual.
