Below are some resources curated for you by Pastor Gio Sanchez and Lisa Kraft that are beneficial if you are looking to further explore the issue of race in America. Many of the resources mentioned approach the topic from a biblical perspective, though some approach it simply from a historical perspective.
You can also reach out to Gio or Lisa if you’d like to join “Bridge Builders” which will be a 3-session small group exploring what a fully racially reconciled church could look like. Watch this video by Lisa explaining the heart behind this group and please reach out to either of them if you are interested in joining the group which meets via Zoom starting Thursday, July 23rd at 6:30 PM.

God has done so much in our lives and yet a common struggle that we all face as believers is to remain in awe of all that he has done. One of the main reasons why this happens is because we remain silent about what he has done for us. Join us this Sunday as we explore the story of the Samaritan woman. Her story is a perfect example of how sharing our testimony from a place of awe and wonder is one of the greatest ways that we can praise God and bring him the glory that he deserves.
This week we will take a break from our series on Hebrews 11 to hear from Pastor Kevin Gillen from Ridgeway Alliance Church! He will speak on our God who loves to restore all things:
What do we do when everything we hoped for seems to be shattered? Like you and me, Nehemiah experienced great disappointment. Through Nehemiah, God did more than just rebuild walls, He brought restoration. When Life happens, God shows up!
Do you ever wish you had a really strong faith? A faith that could withstand hardship, persecution, conflicts, and uncertainties? A faith that pursues God and finds peace, that does not give in to fear, that trusts God in all circumstances and that brings goodness and justice into the world? We need an INDESTRUCTIBLE faith! We are going to learn from the experts – those saints listed in Hebrews 11 in what is often called the “Hall of Faith.” Read Hebrews 11 this week and get ready to develop an indestructible faith!
Join us and the rest of the Armonk Faith Alliance as we shine a light for racial justice.
Hillside Church family – we wanted to start bringing in some practical tips to improve your mental health, as we believe our mental health is very closely tied to our physical and spiritual health! We are living in unsettling times and it can be difficult to take care of your mental health. Megan Zhang, our Worship Leader and a trained therapist, will be bringing tips and practical encouragement to us each week as we continue persevering in this unknown. Feel free to read through the PDF’s below for all her insight and advice! We pray this lifts you up and encourages you in this time!

Pastor Beth is taking us through the Psalms every week! Join us on Facebook and on the website every Sunday at 10:30 to hear more.
In the chaos of life around us, God has given us a way to connect our hearts with Him – the Psalms! These are God’s playlist: songs and prayers that we can offer to God no matter what we are going through. They show us how we can bring our complaints, our confessions, our thanks, and our worship in ways that will lift up God and lift our spirits at the same time. Come with us as we explore the uplifting power of Psalms in our uncertain world!
In-person services have resumed! But as the pandemic continues, you will still be able to worship remotely with your Hillside family at 10:30am on Sunday. Log onto Facebook as we release the video of singing and the sermon, and comment along with others who are watching. (Note that from September 6, services will return to 10:30am.)
If you are not on Facebook, you can watch the singing
and the sermon beginning at 10:30am HERE.
After the service, at 11:45am, we will continue to host a Zoom call for anyone who would like to share fellowship and discuss thoughts on the message. You can join the call from your computer or phone by clicking here.
